PART-TIME PATHOLOGIST: Anatomical Pathology/Cytology

A part-time vacancy for a suitably qualified Pathologist for our Anatomical Pathology/Cytology department has now become available.
Previous experience in Cytology is essential, as is FRCPA membership or equivalent.

MICROBIOLOGY – SCIENTIFIC OFFICER

Our Microbiology Department has a vacancy for a scientific officer. Minimum 3 years experience in plate reading is an essential requirement for this role. Experience in examination of faecal samples for ova, cysts and parasites, and/or experience in reading mycology cultures would be an advantage. Participation in evening and weekend rosters is required as per departmental and organisational needs.

HAEMATOLOGY – PART TIME BLOOD FILM MORPHOLOGIST

A Part-time position for a Haematology Blood Film Morphologist has become available for our expanding department for an afternoon/evening shift. In order to be considered for this role, you MUST have at least 2 years previous experience in blood film morphology.

FULL-TIME CYTOLOGY SCREENER

Medlab Pathology is seeking an experienced Cytology Screener to join our expanding cytology department in our main laboratory in Auburn. The successful applicant will be responsible for primary and secondary screening of gynaecological and non-gynaecological samples and results. This is a FULL-TIME position, with an attractive salary package, flexible working arrangements. Please note that in order to be considered for this position, the successful applicant MUST fulfill the following, ESSENTIAL criteria:

  • (CT) ASC or equivalent
  • Previous experience in gynaecological and non-gynaecological cytology
  • Ability to participate on weekend roster as required.

ADMIN/RECEPTION – CASUAL

A casual vacancy is currently available for an experienced individual for our admin/reception department. In order to be considered for this position, the successful applicant must satisfy the following criteria:

  1. Excellent communication and trouble-shooting skills
  2. Reliable, dedicated, able to work independently or as part of a team-environment.

Previous experience in a similar role would be a distinct advantage, as would be some exposure to accounts receivable, following up outstanding payments with clients over the phone. Applicant must also have sound computer skills.

DATA ENTRY / SPECIMEN RECEPTION

A position is available for an experienced Data Entry / Specimen Reception person. Previous experience in this area of pathology is required, and therefore, persons with no experience need not apply as they will not be considered for this role. The successful applicant must be able to participate in various shifts, including evenings, nights and weekends as required.
