Applications are invited from suitably qualified Anatomical Pathologists (FRCPA or equivalent) for a full time permanent position in our main laboratory facility, in Auburn, Sydney, NSW. The laboratory is a category GX NATA/RCPA accredited facility providing a comprehensive range of pathology tests encompassing all major disciplines:

Medlab Pathology, a category GX NATA accredited laboratory, is one of Australia’s largest, privately owned independent pathology practices. Established in 2001, we provide a comprehensive range of pathology services to the medical community.
Our busy Cytology Department, part of our state of the art facility, is seeking a highly motivated cytologist to join our friendly team of health professionals. Duties include screening of predominantly conventional gynaecological specimens and liquid-based cytology using the ThinPrep Imaging System, in addition to some non-gynaecological specimens.
To be considered for this role, you must hold a relevant tertiary qualification in medical laboratory science or equivalent, as well as the CT (ASC) and a minimum of 5 years experience. The successful applicant will have a strong commitment to customer service, clear focus on detail and quality, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Our Haematology Department has a vacancy for a qualified, experienced blood film morphologist, for a casual relief role. An essential requirement is participation in the evening and weekend roster. Our Microbiology Department has a vacancy for a scientific officer. Minumum 3 years experience in plate reading is an essential requirement for this role. Experience in examination of faecal samples for ova, cysts and parasites, and/or experience in reading mycology cultures would be an advantage. Participation in evening and weekend rosters is required as per departmenal and organisation needs.
